I wanted to offer my perspective on a couple of points as a home based business to two points made by Rhonda Abrams who wrote the article. I completely agree that money should be invested in "marketing and customer service," in 2009. There are thousands of people who are disillusioned by what they had grown to know as job security. I often say that people become psychologically unemployable once they really understand the value of the home based business industry.

From stay at home moms to generationally displaced workers many are discovering the power of creating their own bailout plan. As a result, I am spending more in targeted online campaigns to attract people that I can help find financial security working from home. Where there is so much uncertainty in the economy corporations and small business owners would do well to invest in relationships with existing clients, which supports Rhonda Abrams recommendation to spend in this area. By making smart spending decisions businesses can learn to actually thrive in challenging markets. Ms. Abrams offers great advice for home based business owners as well.
