Set Meaningful New Year Resolutions in 2008

Mindset Fact: Making a New Year's Resolution is not merely setting a time deadline to a "dream," it is making a promise to your higher self. The reason most people fail to achieve their resolutions is because their emotional commitment is not strong enough to sustain the effort required to succeed and achieve their objectives.

Seven Steps to Create Meaningful New Years Resolutions:

1. Start with the end in mind by envisioning your life at age 80. Where you will be, who will you be with, what is your lifestyle, do you have any regrets.

2. Resist fear of facing the facts as fear breeds non-action.

3. Refuse to accept complacency by becoming passionate about the change you want to manifest in your life.

4. Identify your vehicles for achievement. The people, systems, resources needed to achieve your objectives.

5. Commit to your vision of your higher self. Remember your higher self (and your true faith) exist in your subconscious mind.

6. Connect with those that can help you succeed and share your vision with them.

7. Establish and celebrate milestones.
